Using the Library: Circulation Policies

Borrowing materials from Jennings Library

Borrowing privileges are extended to Caldwell University students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Failure to abide by Library and University policies may result in the loss of borrowing privileges.

ID Cards
Registration for borrowing privileges may be made at the Information Desk. A current Caldwell University ID card must be presented for all borrowing transactions. ID cards must be updated at the Information Desk every semester a student is registered at the University.

Fines

Individuals are responsible for any overdue, lost, or damaged items charged out in their name and are subject to the following fines:

Overdue Charges

  • $.25 per day for each overdue book.
  • $2.00 per day for each overdue item that has been recalled.
  • $.50 per day for each overdue CD
  • $2.00 per day for each overdue video or DVD.

The base charge for a lost book is $50 plus a $20 processing fee. The Library reserves the right to adjust that charge to align with the actual cost of replacement.
