Using the Library: Circulation Policies

Borrowing materials from Jennings Library

Borrowing privileges are extended to Caldwell University students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Failure to abide by Library and University policies may result in the loss of borrowing privileges.

ID Cards
Registration for borrowing privileges may be made at the Information Desk. A current Caldwell University ID card must be presented for all borrowing transactions. ID cards must be updated at the Information Desk every semester a student is registered at the University.

Fines

As of January 2023, we do not charge fines for overdue items. Lost or damaged items are subject to fees as described below.

Damaged & Lost Items

Damaged materials are subject to a $20.00 non-refundable processing fee plus damage assessment, depending upon extent of damage.
The base charge for a lost book is $50 plus a $20 processing fee. The Library reserves the right to adjust that charge to align with the actual cost of replacement.
