Children's Literature

About this Guide

Jennings Library's children's and young adult literature collections are available to students and the Caldwell community for study and general enjoyment. This guide features award-winning books and the Caroline Ward Romans '68 Children's Literature Collection and provides research resources for English and Education courses that study children's literature. 

The collection is centered in the Curriculum Lab on the top floor of the library. 

  • "Easy Books" are shelved alphabetically by the author's last name. The collection includes picture books,  board books, books without words, braille books and easy readers.
  • Fiction books for middle grades and above are also in the Curriculum Lab and are shelved by the author's last name.
  • Nonfiction is shelved in the third-floor stacks right next to the Curriculum Lab. Non-fiction uses the Dewey Decimal System.
