This course focuses on parenting, mental health concepts and therapeutic modalities used to provide care. The influences of the nurse/client relationship and its impact on client outcomes are discussed. Concepts related to growth and development, health education and health promotion are emphasized. Guided clinical practice is provided in area hospitals, mental health facilities and community agencies. 12 hours clinical.
