To better serve our students and ensure more equitable access to technology, the Library is updating its Laptop Lending Policy starting this upcoming Fall semester.
After reviewing usage trends and student needs post-2020, we are returning to two-week loan periods and will no longer be lending out laptops for a semester-long period. This shift will help more students access laptops throughout the term, reduce overdue returns, and allow us to keep devices in better working condition through regular maintenance.
Our priority remains with students who do not have access to a personal laptop due to financial or other challenges. As such, we’ll be communicating clearly to students that library laptops are intended for those with genuine need.
