NU 416: Adult Health II

OVERVIEW

Course Description

This course focuses on the acutely ill adult. Theoretical content related to acute alteration or exacerbation of signs and symptoms in tissue perfusion, nutrition oxygenation, sensation, perception, coordination and mobility is presented. The effects of acute illness on the patient, families, significant others and communities are discussed. Students will evaluate the acute care environment in which care is provided. Guided clinical practice is provided in acute care facilities.
