Library Services for Students with Disabilities

This guide is designed to inform those with disabilities about library accommodations and services.

We are here to help

The Library staff will work with the Office of Disability Services to coordinate reference and research services to students. The Office of Disability Services or an individual Professor can refer a student to a Librarian within the Liaison area relevant to the student’s needs so that they can work one on one.

If you need help finding materials on the shelves or with reaching or lifting books please ask a member of the staff for assistance. Photocopiers are located on the ground floor of the building. Please ask a staff member if you need assistance using the machine. If you have difficulty reading small print, you can use the copiers to enlarge text. If you find it difficult to read text on white paper, simply ask for colored paper at Circulation Desk.

If you desire an individual introduction to the library’s collections or services, simply click the “Ask Us” button located on the right side of the library website and our research guides, or call the Information Desk at x3337 and you will be directed to a Reference Librarian with whom you can schedule an appointment.
