Finding Sources: Materials at Other Libraries

This guide is a general introduction to finding different types of sources available at Jennings Library, including books, scholarly and newspaper articles, music and videos, databases, and statistics.

Borrowing from Other Libraries

Students, faculty, and staff at Caldwell University are able to borrow materials directly from other libraries in New Jersey with the reciprocal borrowing programs. See below for more information on the VALE reciprocal borrowing and ReBL reciprocal borrowing programs. Please note all items borrowed directly from other libraries must be returned to those libraries.

The Caldwell University community also has the option of using inter-library loan (ILL) to request books and articles to be sent directly to the Jennings Library. For more information about inter-library loan, check out our guide to Jennings ILL.

VALE Reciprocal Borrowing

You may want to go to another library and borrow books yourself.  Caldwell students, faculty, and staff can borrow books from various member libraries of the VALE consortium.  Consult the lists of VALE Reciprocal Borrowing Participating Libraries for Faculty and StaffGraduate Students, or Undergraduate Students to determine if you qualify for on-site borrowing privileges at the library you are interested in visiting.
