ED 732: Statistics in Education

The Census Bureau provides information on a variety of educational topics, including educational attainment, school enrollment, public school system finances, school districts, teaching about statistics, and educational services.

Resources indexed and housed on the Research Connections site cover a broad spectrum of research on child care and early education and related policies. The collection brings together original research, syntheses, datasets, and other research-related resources from the wide range of social science disciplines and professional fields that study early care and education.
Resources in the collection examine the child care and early education experiences of children birth through age 8 and -- when addressing school-age child care -- through age 13.

Data.gov is managed and hosted by the U.S. General Services Administration, Office of Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies. It allows users to explore education datasets, apps, resources for the classroom, and details about paying for college. These datasets cover education at all levels.

Includes the National Results of the ECDC's 2013 Early Childhood Data Systems Survey. The report is based on a survey of 50 states and the District of Columbia, assessing the coordination of their early childhood data systems. The survey was completed by state education, health, and social services program staff and focused on states’ capacity to securely link child-level ECE data, collect state-level child screening and assessment data and manage the security and use of coordinated ECE data.

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education in the U.S. and other nations. NCES is located within the U.S. Department of Education and the Institute of Education Sciences. NCES fulfills a Congressional mandate to collect, collate, analyze, and report complete statistics on the condition of American education; conduct and publish reports; and review and report on education activities internationally.

The DOE puts out reports on on enrollment, dropout rates, staff, graduation rates, and school performance in public schools in New Jersey.

The CRDC includes data about enrollment demographics, prekindergarten, math and science courses, advanced placement, SAT/ACT, discipline, school expenditures, and teacher experience.

Contains data on the percentage of children aged 36-59 months who are attending an early childhood education program. The data is arranged by country.
