Q: Where is CalCat??

A: You may have noticed that our book catalog, CalCat, is no longer accessible. Our new discovery service, WMS Discovery, replaces both CalCat and Summon and provides one place to search for everything.

Q: Do I need my student ID card?

A: YES! You MUST have your student ID card (with barcode) to check out items and use Inter-Library Loan.

Q: What if I need to borrow a book, but someone has already checked it out?

A: You can now place holds on items! Search for the book you need using the search box on the library website. Click on the record for that book. On the right side of the page, you'll see a box called "Access Options." Click on the "Place Hold" button. You'll be asked to log in with your CU net id and password. Fill out the form and submit your request. You'll receive a notification when the book is available to pick up.
